The People of Lake Pointe are currently developing strategic Metro mission relationships through Bible Fellowships and serving teams. These relationships are developed through consistent prayer, generous giving, and faithfully going on location to serve.

Below are a list of upcoming mission trips and partnership information.

ARLINGTON, TX

Abundant Life Church, Pastor Kwaku Ad-Wusu
Established in 2004, this church in Arlington focuses on reaching African immigrants in the DFW area. Although Pastor Kwaku Adu-Wasu and many of the members are from Ghana, they have a diverse congregation representing many African countries.

DALLAS, TX - Cornerstone

Cornerstone, Pastor Chris Simmons
Conerstone is located in South Dallas near the downtown area and is a strong ongoing inner-city relationship. Opportunities to serve include:




Cornerstone Community Connection
This ministry to senior citizens identifies homes in need of paint or minor repairs and sends teams out on Saturdays to make repairs.

Cornerstone Kids
This outreach is a “Vacation Bible School” style of ministry to inner-city children in
Pre K – 5th grade

Feeding the Homeless
Lead or serve with a new team on Sundays from 6:15 – 7:15a.m. or weekdays from
12:30 – 1:30p.m.

HIV/AIDS Ministry
To meet the needs of those infected and affected by HIV/AIDS in a variety of ways from partnering with individuals who need daily basic care, to hosting "Supper Clubs" at the Hillcrest House of Dallas.

Park Manor Senior Housing
Meets the 4th Saturday of each month from 10a.m. – 12:30p.m. This ministry provides meals and fellowship programs for resident senior citizens

FORT WORTH, TEXAS

Destiny Church, Pastor James Womack
Destiny Church is a newly planted church in Fort Worth that is engaging their community and leading them toward their full potential in Jesus Christ. Volunteers and ABFs have the opportunity to get involved with the work of this church on an ongoing, regular basis.

GARLAND, TEXAS

Nueva Vida Baptist Church, Pastor David Galvan
This collaborative partnership allows Lake Pointe the opportunity to share proven processes and leadership development to help strengthen this great church. New Life is also providing us with invaluable information on how to reach the Spanish-speaking people in our church communities

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY - DALLAS

Lake Pointe is joining with Habitat for Humanity to build homes for the underprivileged in Dallas. Volunteers with all skill levels are needed (no construction experience is necessary).

PRISON MINISTRY TEAMS

This active and ongoing team provides many primary ways to impact the life of men and women who are incarcerated and need Christ.

Lake Pointe Church-Dawson Campus:
Adult Bible Fellowships and individuals needed to host the worship service, utilizing a DVD of our weekend service. All services are held on Mondays:

Women's Service:9 am - 11 am
Men's Service: 1 pm - 3 pm

Mentoring Team.
Team members disciple inmates committed to life change. Group Bible study and one-on-one mentoring held on the second Saturday of each month.

Aftercare Ministry
Those inmates who successfully complete the mentoring program and do not have viable options for the future are eligible to apply for our Aftercare Ministry. This team provides a safe place to live, assistance in re-establishing their lives, a connection with a local church, and a structured program for discipleship, encouragement, and accountability.
